Learning to drive in Surrey

I am a fully qualified Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI). I began my career in the driver training industry more than 20 years ago.

I started my training with a well establish driving school based in Sutton Surrey. After passing the three qualifying exams required to be placed on the Register of Approved Driving Instructors I continued to work for the company that trained me for a further 3 ½ years. During that time, I gained valuable experience in all aspects of learner driving training. It gave me confidence to move on.

22nd October 1993, Glynis Nicholls School of Motoring was established. (This year I come of age it is my 18th Birthday) From the beginning, I set my own standards high.

I pride myself on providing a prompt, reliable & quality service. I strive to offer the best value for money that I can in my driver training and hopefully a little extra. I do that by tailoring every single lesson to each individual driver’s needs. Everyone learns at a different rate and in a different way or style, I adapt accordingly to suit the person sitting in the driving seat. Nervous drivers are my speciality. I am naturally calm in nature and I believe I pass this quality on to my drivers. My overall pass rate is excellent.

However, it is no longer simply about how to pass a driving test, I teach what I call ‘Road Craft’. Many things contribute to making a good driver, developing the right attitude is very import. Patience, Responsibility, Confidence, Concentration & Anticipation are important skills that you will learn and they will go towards making you a better and ‘Safe Driver for Life’.
